Where to celebrate Thanksgiving 2014 in London
Today is Thanksgiving – and even if you're not surrounded by the warm glow of familial love, there are places to celebrate it in the capital.
HOUSE OF WOLF
What: Describing itself as a “three-story Victorian lair”, this dining, drinking and entertainment venue will knock up a Thanksgiving special from 7.30pm to midnight. It will involve a London-spin on the American classic, with piles of autumnal treats to pick at.
THE BLUES KITCHEN
THE TRUSCOTT ARMS
What: Starting from midday, there will be champagne and sharing platters of roast turkey, roast potatoes and cranberry maple jelly. With a Texan-born owner, it's no wonder the gastropub puts on a great show for thanksgiving.
THE BIG EASY, CHELSEA
What: Loved for its American cuisine all year round, on the 27th it will go that extra mile by adding a thanksgiving party menu to the mix. “Served family style,” it includes such treats as pumpkins soup, pit smoked turkey and fresh baked pumpkin pie.
THE LOCKHART
What: A restaurant specialising in southern US cuisine, The Lockhart knows what it means to whip up a proper thanksgiving feast. It's a little more expensive than the others on the list, but no more than would be expected according to its normal prices.
Where: Seymour Place, Marylebone
