Robson out of Roland Garros
FORMER British No1 Laura Robson is expected to abandon her plans to return from a 16-month injury nightmare in time to play at the French Open.
Robson, 21, had hoped to make her comeback from persistent wrist problems during the clay-court season, which culminates at Roland Garros this month. But she is now tipped to wait until the grass-court campaign begins next month before playing her first match since the 2014 Australian Open.
The former world No27 had surgery on her wrist in April last year. Robson had raised hopes of a spring 2015 comeback by taking advantage of her protected world ranking of No58 to apply for direct entry to the French Open.
