Simmons & Company International
The energy investment bank has appointed Nabeel Siddiqui as director in its London office. He joins from Epi-V, the upstream oil and gas focused private equity firm. Siddiqui has more than 12 years’ experience, and has also held roles in the US arm of DNB Markets.
Olswang
Paul Stevens has been appointed chief executive of the technology, media and telecoms law firm. He joined in 1997 and has headed up Olswang’s international intellectual property practice group since 2013.
JLT Re
The reinsurance broking and capital solutions firm has promoted David Flandro to global head of analytics. He joined JLT Re in June 2014 as global head of strategic advisory. Flandro has also worked as global head of business intelligence at Guy Carpenter.
RBC Capital Markets
Nick Taylor has been appointed managing director, head of natural resources in Europe for GIB at the investment bank. He joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently co-head of natural resources for Asia. Taylor has over 20 years’ experience.
Weatherbys Private Bank
The private bank has appointed Quentin Marshall as deputy head of private banking. He was previously head of advisory, investment services at Coutts. Marshall has 20 years’ experience in banking, and has also worked as senior client adviser in the UBS family office team.
K&L Gates
Jacob Ghanty has been appointed partner in the law firm’s investment management practice. He joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he was also a partner. Ghanty is a financial services regulatory and payment services lawyer.
Duet Group
The alternative asset management firm has announced the appointments of Ulrik Fugmann and Edward Lees as senior managing directors and co-chief investment officers of Duet Natural Resources. Fugmann and Lees are the founders of North Shore Partners, and are integrating their strategy and business into Duet. Both Fugmann and Lees have also held senior roles at Goldman Sachs.
