Man City draw is one of toughest, says Barca boss
BARCELONA coach Luis Enrique admits Manchester City were among the teams he had hoped to avoid after being pitted against them in the Champions League last 16 for successive years.
The Catalan club beat City 4-1 on aggregate at the same stage last season, though this time Barca have the distraction of a domestic showdown with Real Madrid immediately after the second leg.
“City aspires to the title just as we do,” he said. “They are a hard rival, one of the hardest that we could have asked for. It’s going to be a very complicated tie.”
Barca lie second in the Spanish league behind Real Madrid and won their Champions League group ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
