Weightmans
The law firm has announced three appointments. Douglas Keir joins as a partner, and Sarah Phillips and Julia McDonald (pictured) join as associates, in its insurance team. They collectively have 40 years’ experience in law, and arrive from Anderson Strathern Solicitors.
London Capital Group
The Aim-listed online trading firm has announced two appointments. Nicholas Lee becomes a non-executive director. He has 25 years’ experience in investment banking and as a company director, and worked for Dresdner Kleinwort and its antecedent firms from 1988 to 2009, latterly as managing director, head of banking, hedge fund solutions. Rebecca Fuller becomes senior independent non-executive director. She has 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, and has been a non-executive director at BATS Trading since May 2013. Fuller has also served as general counsel and head of compliance at Citadel Investment Group in Europe.
Stamford Associates
Alexandra Haggard has been appointed chief executive at the investment consultancy firm. She joins after 14 years at Russell Investments, where she was most recently managing director for product and marketing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and sat on its European executive committee.
Goal Group
The withholding tax relief and securities class action recovery service provider has announced the appointment of William Salva as global business development manager. He has 40 years’ experience in the securities industry, and has held senior management positions at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, JP Morgan, and BNP Paribas.
Statesman Travel
Drew Thomson has been appointed non-executive chairman at the travel management company. He is a former chief executive of Airmiles and BA Miles, and was also previously executive chairman of Iris Worldwide, a digital media agency. Thomson was the founder and chief executive of Starcount, a social analytics company.
Gulf Keystone
The oil and gas exploration firm has appointed Maria Darby-Walker as non-executive director. She is a corporate and financial communications executive, and has counselled the boards of Rio Tinto, the FCA, Cadbury, Rolls Royce, Allen & Overy, and Barclays.
