The investment office has announced the appointment of Charles Mesquita as a senior director in its charity team. He has over 25 years’ investment experience, and has previously held positions at Newton Investment Management and Rensburg Sheppards (now Investec).
Simmons & Simmons
Matthew Pitman has been promoted to partner at the law firm. Based in its London office, he is an investment funds specialist who focuses on all classes of private funds. Pitman’s practice covers a wide range of transactional and investment work.
Hogan Lovells
The law firm has announced a raft of new promotions. In London, Shalini Bhuchar becomes a finance (banking) partner, Whiston Bristow becomes a LAE (litigation) partner, Sian Owles and Robert Darwin corporate (transactional) partners, and Nicholas Roberts becomes a partner in its corporate (real estate) division. In addition, Paul Chaplin, Victoria Du Croz, Matthew Felwick, Charles Ford, Richard Goss, and Alex Harrison all become of counsel in the law firm’s London office.
Global Prime Partners
Andrew Bole has been appointed chief operating officer at the prime brokerage and trading services provider. He joins from IG Group Holdings, where he was chief risk officer and a member of its senior management team. Bole has over 15 years’ management experience in the industry.
FTI Consulting
James Dimech DeBono has been appointed senior managing director of the business advisory firm’s economic and financial consulting division. He was most recently head of complex asset valuation advisory services at Grant Thornton, is a former partner in KPMG’s financial risk management services team in London, and has also held roles at Duff & Phelps, EY and BDO.
Alium Partners
The interim management provider has announced the appointment of Karen Cresswell as client strategy and development director. She has over 20 years’ experience in the interim market, and has worked at director level for firms including Harvey Nash and Pure.
