The financial advisory business has appointed Hannah McGivern as marketing manager. She joins from Gardiner Richardson, a creative communications agency, and has also held positions at Bond Dickinson and Newcastle Science City.
MSCI
Antti Savilaakso has been appointed European head of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) research at the research-based indexes and analytics provider. He was previously director of responsible investments at Nordea. Savilaakso has also held positions at Responsible Research in Singapore, Dexia Asset Management in Brussels and ABN Amro Asset Management in Amsterdam.
EY
The professional services firm has appointed Klaus Woeste as a partner and head of the HR advisory team in its financial services human capital practice. He joins from KPMG, where he led its people and change advisory practice for financial services in the UK. Woeste has also held roles at Capgemini and Arthur Andersen.
Hamlins
Sports litigator Mark Gay has been appointed by the law firm to launch a new sports practice. He has previously held roles at Herbert Smith and Burges Salmon, and headed up the sports practice at DLA Piper.
International General Insurance
The insurance firm has announced three appointments to its London team. Barry Marren joins as international D&F property underwriter. He has previously held roles at XL Insurance and Markel Insurance. Maria Fahy joins as treaty underwriter. She has previously worked at Excess Insurance, Hartford Re, Lloyd’s Syndicate 566, Endurance Worldwide and Chaucer Syndicate. Joanne Forester joins as assistant aviation underwriter. She has held roles at United Insurance Brokers.
DTZ
The commercial real estate services firm has appointed James Pelly as an associate director in its retail investment team. He joins from LaSalle Investment Management’s retail team.
Proskauer
M&A lawyer James Howe has been appointed partner in the law firm’s corporate team in London. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner in its corporate department.
