End Austerity Now: Here is who’ll be at the protest

Protesters are coming from far and wide in a show of strength against the government's austerity measures on Saturday (June 20), in what is expected to be one of the largest rallies in recent history. 

Coaches have been put on to bring people from around the country, and organisers saying there could be hundreds of thousands of people taking part. The protest will begin outside the Bank of England at 1pm, before moving towards Parliament Square, where a rally is expected to take place from around 2:30pm until 5:30pm.

As well as the many ordinary people who are fighting spending cuts being implemented by the government, there will be plenty of familiar faces. Here's some of the big names that are expected to take part. 

Charlotte Church: Singer

Michael Sheen: Actor

Jeremy Corbyn: Labour MP and party leader candidate

Martin McGuinness: Sinn Fein politician, deputy first minister of Northern Ireland

Maxine Peake: Actress

 

Len McCluskey: Unite boss

Natalie Bennett: Green party leader

Shappi Khorsandi: Comedian
