Marsh: Aussies will relish fight
AUSTRALIA batsman Shaun Marsh insists his side will match their rivals’ brand of aggressive cricket in a bid to end their Ashes woe in English conditions.
Marsh is fighting for his place at the top of the Australian batting order having averaged 28 in their two-Test series in the West Indies last month, while opener Chris Rogers in contention for a recall following concussion. Despite whitewashing England Down Under in the winter of 2013-14, Australia have not won a series in this country since 2001.
“It is really important to get out there and show your aggression and put your stamp on the game, that is the Australian way,” said Marsh.
“We’re really looking forward to getting out there and putting it right up to them.”
