The Premier League club will spend around £300,000 on subsidising the price of admission for travelling supporters. Swansea estimate it will save fans up to £250 a year.
“It’s pleasing to see that they’re recognising the importance of their away support,” said Kevin Miles, chief executive of the Football Supporters’ Federation, which has petitioned clubs to lower costs for fans attending away games.
Top-flight teams receive £200,000 annually from the Premier League to be spent on subsidies for away supporters.
Swansea director Huw Cooze said: “We are well aware of how expensive it is to follow the team to away games.”
