Grexit or happily ever after? Twitter’s gone berserk for #Greekvalentines poems
Nobody wants to deal with a messy break-up around Valentine's Day, but as talks between Greece and its international creditors drag on, things aren't looking very rosy.
There are more talks scheduled for Monday, the final opportunity for Greece's new government to ask for a bailout extension – the current deadline for which is February 28. After that, the country is likely to run out of cash.
Greek government spokesman Gabriel Sakellaridis said earlier today that "we will do whatever we can so that a deal is found on Monday". However, optimism was then dampened, when president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said the parties were far from reaching a deal.
Nonetheless, Twitter users have wished them a happily ever after, with some tongue-in-cheek Valentine's Day themed poetry. Here are some of the best:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
See, if we can just get that bridge loan,
We'll stay in the EU.#GreekValentines— Katie Martin (@katie_martin_fx) February 13, 2015

We don't like to tax
But our debt please relax
Because the EU is betta

Do we have a future?
Her answer? To laugh.#GreekValentines pic.twitter.com/zgTHAFc3oo— Justin Wolfers (@JustinWolfers) February 13, 2015
