Chelsea suspend three fans from Stamford Bridge over racism incident
Chelsea have moved swiftly to suspend three fans from attending games at Stamford Bridge after a video appeared to show them stopping a black man from boarding the Paris Metro.
The club said that life banning orders will placed on the unnamed trio if there is deemed sufficient evidence they were involved in the incident which saw a group of Chelsea fans singing "We're racist, we're racist…and that's the way we like it" on the way to their fixture with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Chelsea said they have received "substantial information to date following our witness appeal and we are grateful to the many Chelsea supporters who have provided information so far.
The Metropolitan and Paris police are currently investigating the incident.
