Valad Europe
The real estate investment management firm has appointed Claire Treacy as chief financial officer. She was previously head of tax and risk at Valad. Before joining, Treacy was a senior tax manager in KPMG’s real estate group, specialising in European fund structuring.
PwC
Stephen Soper has been appointed senior pensions adviser in the professional services firm’s pensions credit advisory team. He joins from The Pensions Regulator, where he has held the positions of executive director for defined benefit regulation and interim chief executive.
Miton
Carlos Moreno has been appointed European equities fund manager at the Aim-listed asset management firm. He was previously a fund manager at JO Hambro Capital Management Group, where he managed the JO Hambro All Europe Dynamic Growth fund. Moreno has 21 years’ experience in investment, and has also held roles at Thames River Capital Management and Fidelity Worldwide Investments.
Liberty Specialty Markets
The insurance group has announced the appointment of Fiona Walden as senior underwriter in its strategic capital products division. She is a qualified solicitor and joins from Willis, where she was deputy head of structured finance. Walden was also previously a managing associate at law firm Linklaters.
American Express Global Business Travel
The travel solutions business has appointed Jason Geall as vice president and general manager for the UK. He was previously chief executive of Student Room Group, and has also held senior roles at GetThere.
Kingsley Napley
Brandusa Tataru-Marinescu has been appointed senior associate in the law firm’s real estate practice. She specialises in construction and engineering law and joins from from Taylor Wessing. Tataru-Marinescu has over 10 years’ experience.
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking
James Walton has been appointed director of manufacturing at the bank. He has previously held positions at Standard Chartered and RBS, both in the UK and Asia. As senior director for RBS, based in Singapore, he was responsible for UK clients doing business in Asia and led its partnership with UK Trade & Investment.
