Cranswick sales show marked improvement
UK FOOD producer Cranswick yesterday reported an eight per cent rise in revenue during the three months to 30 June, compared with the same period of last year.
The meat products firm said its improved performance was driven by strong volume growth across most product categories.
Underlying sales were also up, by four per cent, and export sales to East Asian markets “maintained their positive momentum”, the group said, with volumes up 14 per cent on the same quarter of last year.
Cranswick said: “With experienced management at all levels of the group, a strong range of products, a well-invested asset base and a robust financial position, the board remains confident in both the prospects for the current financial year and the continued long term success and development of the business.”
Shares were up by 2.25 per cent yesterday.
