Scaffolding collapses onto double decker bus on Peckham Road
Scaffolding has collapsed onto the number 345 bus on one of South London's busiest high streets. Shortly before 11:15am the scaffolding crashed into the side of the double decker bus on Peckham Road.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) were on the scene within the hour and have confirmed the area is now safe. The road was closed shortly after the incident. No one was injured during or after the collision.
Transport for London warned the area would suffer congestion as a result of the road's closure. The LFB said it was nothing less than a "miracle" that someone wasn't hurt.

A spokesman for the LFB described this morning's events:
We were called at 11.15 to reports of scaffolding which had fallen on to a bus and a wall collapse in Peckham Road.
A section of scaffolding had collapsed on to a bus and street furniture.
The boss of bus operations at TfL commented:
The bus was in service at the time and there have been no reports of injuries. We will work with the emergency services who will be investigating this incident.
The bus was travelling from Peckham to Kensington.
