Winger Sako’s Eagles swoop
WINGER Bakary Sako cited the appeal of working under Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew after signing for the south London club on a free transfer yesterday.
The Mali international left Wolves at the end of last season after failing to agree a new contract, having alerted top teams to his ability by scoring 15 goals and making the Championship’s team of 2014-15.
“I talked to some clubs but when I met Alan I felt a good feeling between him and me,” said the 27-year-old. “He plays attacking, attractive football so it should be good to play here and score goals.”
