Investec
Investec Investment Banking has appointed Serge Rissi as a director in its financial sponsor transaction group. He has 15 years of M&A experience, and most recently worked as a director at Quayle Munro. Rissi has also held roles at UBS Warburg and Hawkpoint.
Rathbone Brothers
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Sarah Owen-Jones as chief risk officer. She joins from RBS, where she was most recently head of transformational risk and services risk oversight. Owen-Jones first joined NatWest in 1981, and her roles within the RBS Group have included head of operational risk, non-core, and head of operational risk, wealth management division.
Bivonas Law
Don Randall has been appointed senior consultant at the City litigation practice. He was previously chief security information officer at the Bank of England. Randall is a cyber security and risk expert, and has also served as managing director and international security manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, at JP Morgan. Randall began his career in the City of London police.
Fulcrum Asset Management
The discretionary asset manager has announced the appointment of Piotr Chmielowski as chief risk officer. He was previously at Lombard Odier Asset Management, where he was head of risk in Europe. Chmielowski has over 20 years’ experience.
Eversheds
Ian Gray has been appointed international managing partner at the law firm. He currently has executive responsibility for Eversheds’s Middle East operations, and has led its litigation practice group for the past seven years. Gray trained in Toyko and spent his early career practicing in Hong Kong.
Julius Baer
The Swiss private banking group has announced the appointment of Jonathan Holland and Robert Websdale as relationship managers, with the rank of director. Focused on developing business in the North of England, they will be based in London. Holland joins from Barclays, where he has been a senior banker since 2006. Websdale also joins from Barclays, where he has eight years’ experience.
