DLA Piper
Sam Szlezinger has been appointed partner in the law firm’s competition team, part of its litigation and regulatory group. He joins from Dentons, where he has been a partner since 2001. Szlezinger advises on EU and UK competition law matters.
Intelligent Energy
The energy technology group has appointed Sarah Wojcik as head of investor relations. She joins from HSBC, where she has been an investor relations manager since 2011. Wojcik was also previously a financial accounting manager at HSBC Global Asset Management, and has worked in treasury management and regulatory reporting at Henderson Global Investors.
Newton Investment Management
The investment management subsidiary of BNY Mellon has announced the appointment of two non-executive directors. Henrietta Jowitt has held a number of senior marketing positions in financial services, including at Advent International Corporation and Schroders. Susan Noble has over 20 years’ experience in investment management, and has held roles at Robert Fleming Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Eversheds
The law firm has appointed Clare Hughes as a partner in its London office. She joins from TLT, where she was a partner and head of financial services regulation. Hughes has also worked as a specialist consumer lawyer at the Office of Fair Trading, and is a trained barrister.
American Express Global Business Travel
The travel solutions business has appointed Philippe Chérèque as chief commercial and technology officer. He joined the firm as chief technology officer in 2014, and has also held senior positions at Amadeus Technology Group. In addition, Steve Curts has been appointed the firm’s chief strategy officer. He was previously vice president, internal business systems at American Express GBT.
GFT
The business, design, and technology consultancy to the investment banking industry has appointed Nick Nicholls as a principal consultant, focusing on business architecture and process re-engineering. He previously spent 32 years at Credit Suisse.
