Simon MacKinnon has been appointed Asia strategy adviser at the asset management firm, providing strategic advice to support its expansion in Asia Pacific. He is currently chairman of Sinophi Healthcare and Your.MD China, and was previously a venture partner at SMC Capital China.
BNY Mellon
Arnon Goldstein has been appointed head of sales and relationship management for treasury services, Asia Pacific at the investment management and investment services firm. He was previously part of the team that established BNY Mellon’s Shanghai branch, and also helped establish its credit underwriting operation in Singapore.
Tilney Bestinvest
Cathy Geary has been appointed associate director, financial planning at the investment planning and financial advisory firm. She joins from Arthur J Gallagher, where she spent three years advising self-managed pension clients and high net worth individuals. Geary has almost 30 years’ experience in financial services, and has also held positions at Abbey National, Boolers Pensions & Investments, and Scottish Widows.
Maples Teesdale
The commercial real estate law firm has announced the appointment of Sam Nichols as partner and head of its construction practice. He joins from Bircham Dyson Bell, where he was head of construction. Nichols was also previously a partner at Taylor Wessing. Paul Matcham, who headed up the construction team at Maples Teesdale, is retiring.
APAM
The property asset management firm has appointed Ewan Dauncey as senior asset manager in its London office. He has previously worked as a portfolio and asset manager at Henderson Global Investors and as a UK asset manager for Tiger Developments. Dauncey has over 11 years’ experience in commercial property.
Meketa Investment Group
The investment consulting and advisory firm has announced the relocation of senior vice president Timothy Atkinson to London. He joined Meketa in 2008, and was previously based in its Boston office. In his new role, Atkinson will perform manager due diligence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, specialising in credit and other debt strategies.
