Travel chaos as Southeastern services to London Bridge blocked
Southeastern commuters had an unwelcome return to work after the bank holiday with several services running into London Bridge brought down by signalling problems.
The train operator said this morning that all lines between Deptford and Charlton were "blocked", resulting in services either being delayed or diverted through Lewisham.
There were no services running via Greenwich in either direction at the start of morning rush hour.
"An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed," Southeastern said.
"Customers may use their tickets on local buses, London Underground services and on the DLR at no extra cost," it added.
Commuters complained that trains were actually being returned to Greenwich having been sat outside London Bridge station.
