City Three Peaks challenge: Bosses getting high in September abseiling challenges
Abseiling is the sport of the moment in the Square Mile, it seems – with 40 bosses and chiefs attempting to conquer London's skyline today as part of the City Three Peaks challenge.
A select group of daredevil directors and bosses from SVG Capital, insurers Amlin and Lloyds secured the chance to abseil down the entire Walkie Talkie, Gherkin and Cheesegrater buildings today in aid of charities The Outward Bound Trust and The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
It's 1,916ft down in total, and while a lucky few are just abseiling down one of the iconic City buildings, virtually everyone is fitting their board meetings around the full challenge.

This year's challengers included DFS Sofas founder Lord Kirkham, Cantab Capital chief executive Ewan Kirk and Lloyd's deputy chair Rupert Atkin.
Today's gravity-defying charity day came just days after 85 City bosses abseiled down the Lloyd's building with Lord Mayor Alderman Yarrow and City A.M. co-founder Lawson Muncaster in the run up to City Giving Day – highlighting the good deeds London's businesses do for charities close to their staff's hearts.
A spokesperson with City Three Peaks said that, despite many execs getting caught in the surrounding trees on their way down "everyone's been surprisingly chilled out."
