London Bridge station works: These new pictures reveal more of its major makeover – this time Tooley Street
If it feels like London Bridge looks a little different every time you go there (even when it's on your daily commute), then you're not half wrong.
The billion-pound upgrade of the station which has been taking place for a while now will change the entire look of the area, and now, there are new pictures showing us what we can expect.
Once the work's done and dusted and the ribbon's been cut in 2018 (a bit of a wait for some, perhaps), Tooley street will be treated to new walkways and space for shops and cafes.
Commuters making a regular journey through the 179-year-old station, will also be happy to hear there will be a single giant concourse the size of Wembley pitch stretching from Tooley Street to St Thomas Street on the other side, accommodating around 90m people every single year, a huge amount more than the current 56m capacity.
This is part of the redevelopment will kick off next year. Here's what it's going to look like when it's done.
