Travel disruption around Parliament Square as legal year is opened at Westminster Abbey
Those driving towards Parliament Square are likely to face traffic today, and for once the disruption is not because of a protest.
Millbank has been closed off in both directions because of a ceremony celebrating the official opening of the legal year at Westminster Abbey.
Legal leaders from across the UK have joined the Bar Council for the annual event, which has taken place for hundreds of years.
It began as a way for judges to pray for guidance at the start of a new legal term.
Once the service is over, the some members of the party will attend a reception held by the Lord Chancellor at the Houses of Parliament.
But for now, Transport for London is warning of queues around the area.
