Mount Anvil
Mount Anvil, a residential-led central London developer has announced the appointment of Hilary Wells as its first people director. Hilary joins from wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd, a family-owned business dating back to 1698 with a turnover of more than £200m, where she led the transformation of the company’s approach to HR, the formation of three new businesses in Asia, and supported the succession planning for the family shareholding team.
City Conduit
Marco van Gurp has joined executive search firm City Conduit as partner and head of its insurance & investment management practice. Marco will focus on finance, actuarial and audit leadership roles across financial services. He has 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles. Marco was director of audit for Europe at Aviva and director of audit for the UK GI businesses at Aviva and Zurich Financial Services. Most recently, Marco worked as transformation director at Aviva in France.
Salvus
The Salvus master trust, a pensions provider offering workplace pensions to all employers in the UK, and part of Goddard Perry, has appointed Graham Peacock to head up its newly merged master trust, Salvus. Graham joins from Carey Group, where he was head of business development, playing an instrumental role in developing the auto-enrolment proposition for business advisers and accountants. He has held a number of other senior positions, including at Close Brothers, Friends Provident and Zurich, where he developed pensions products.
BBVA
BBVA has hired Derek White, former chief design & digital officer at Barclays Bank, as global head of customer solutions. In this role White will drive the transformation of the customer value proposition, including global product and design, customer experience, launching new products and services and leveraging big data and customer analytics. Derek joined Barclays in 2004 through the acquisition of Juniper Bank (now Barclaycard US), where he was an early member of the start-up internet bank.
Kemp Little
Tania Williams has been appointed by Kemp Little as a partner in the technology and digital media law firm’s commercial technology group. Tania advises on a broad range of technology-based transactions with a particular focus on both customer and supplier-side IT.
