Akin Gump
International law firm Akin Gump has announced that Hamish Lal has joined the firm as a partner in its international arbitration practice in London. Hamish, who focuses on international construction arbitration in the oil, gas, nuclear, major projects and infrastructure sectors, joins Akin Gump from Jones Day. Hamish’s practice covers international construction arbitration in relation to complex, high-value international projects.
Tissue Regenix Group
Tissue Regenix Group, the regenerative medical devices company, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Glenn as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Jonathan has been chief executive at Consort Medical since December 2007, having joined the company in September 2006 as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Consort Medical, he held a number of senior financial roles across the medical industry including Akubio and the Celltech Group. He has a broad range of commercial experience across the medical devices industry, particularly with regard to clinical trial management and the US marketplace. During his time with Celltech he helped with the acquisitions of Chiroscience, Medeva and OGS.
Beringea
Chris Bone has joined international growth capital investor Beringea’s growth finance team as investment Director. Chris has been helping to fund businesses for over 10 years, the majority of which has been for high-growth technology businesses. Chris started his career at Bank of Scotland Corporate in various debt and equity roles, including oil & gas finance, acquisition finance and integrated finance. He then went on to co-found Clydesdale Growth Finance, helping to build a team and to provide innovative funding to businesses across the UK. Chris is a qualified chartered banker and has a business finance degree from the University of Durham.
Newcourt Residential
London- and south east England-based property developer Newcourt Residential has appointed the former chairman of Tilfen Land, William McKee, on to its board of directors. William, who has joined as a non-executive director, has over 30 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. A town planner, traffic engineer and chartered surveyor by profession, his expertise expands to all aspects of the planning system in the UK as well as having managed large property and investment portfolios and projects. Prior to Tilfen, William was chairman of Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation, chief executive of the London Borough of Merton and director of planning and development of other London boroughs.
