Amir Khan v Kell Brook: Eddie Hearn offers Khan 60-40 split to make British superfight happen
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has promised Amir Khan a purse in his favour should he take on Kell Brook in an all British superfight.
The Matchroom Boxing head, who promotes Brook's fights, laid his cards on the table today by publicly offering Khan a 60 per cent share of what would be a bumper purse.
A meeting between the British welterweights has long been mooted as a potential money-making bonanza big enough to fill Wembley Stadium – but the two camps have failed to come to any agreement in recent negotiations.
Although only Brook currently holds a world title, Khan believes his greater international reputation and the higher calibre of his opponents to date make him the bigger draw.

"We will make this easy for you," Hearn tweeted Khan on Friday , "60-40 in your favour (Kell is World Champ) and you have it."
Earlier Khan claimed Matchroom had offered him a 50-50 split of the purse, while Hearn countered that Khan's lawyers had requested £8m from a £10m purse.
made but enough of the insults. @AmirKingKhan we will make this easy for you 60-40 in your favour (Kell is World Champ) and you have it.

Olympic gold medallist Khan has spent recent years fighting in the USA and angling for a meeting with one of the sport's superstars; Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, who have both ignored his overtures.
In a series of tweets this afternoon Khan said he only wanted "the big fights" and "would rather retire" than take on recent Brook opponents Frankie Gavin, Jo Jo Dan and Kevin Bizier.
He wrote: "Brook wants 50/50 split with me, wake up son and smell the coffee! Be realistic and make it happen, even Eddie told you your not worth that!
"Fact is they [Matchroom] are fooling fight fans fighting all these bums on the back of my name to hype his fights."
