City firms commence training for this year’s Diamond Relay race at the Olympic Park stadium
The first 100 corporate teams have already signed up for this year's Diamond relay race this summer.
The gruelling 5x5km dash, taking place at the Olympic Park stadium, will pit accountants, analysts, bankers, insurers, lawyers and pretty much everyone else in the Square Mile against each other this July.
Last year 230 corporate running teams took part in the inaugural Diamond Relays, presented by British Athletics. This year's race will see appreances from staff at KPMG, Citi, UBS, and City law firm Pillsbury to name a few.
A basic team package costs £400, but the folks at British Athletics want as many people as possible to sign up before the application deadline in April.
Event organisers are letting firms delay paying for their place in the race until they've released their budget reports. If your budget announcement is in April, you can reserve a place now and pay later.
City A.M. will be entering a team: The Capitalist has already been signed up to race against her will…
