Mother’s Day 2016: Where to spoil your mum in London this Mother’s Day Weekend
Mothering Sunday will soon be upon us, and we know you've probably left a few details till the last minute.
To help you spoil your mum this year, we've found some of the best bottomless brunches, afternoon teas and events happening around the city this weekend.
For the politically active maternal figure in your life, humanitarian firm CARE International is organising a walk around the capital celebrating powerful women. This year's walk and rally will begin at 10am just outside City Hall, with many well known campaigners and celebrities taking part including Annie Lennox, Bianca Jagger, Bridget Christie and a number of the actors from the film Suffragette.
If you're looking for something more traditional, then the City's skyscrapers have you covered with special Mother's Day menus at the Gherkin, the Walkie Talkie and the Shard. While Searcys at the Gherkin and Darwin in the Walkie-Talkie's Sky Garden are both offering three-course meals, the Aqua Shard is treating guests to an afternoon tea overlooking the city on the building's 31st floor. All include a complimentary glass of fizz.
Meanwhile, for those who want to prove to their mums that Canary Wharf isn't just a concrete jungle, the restaurant at One Canada Square is hosting a bottomless brunch, with unlimited drinks for just £20 per head.
