Holy central banking, Batman! European Central Bank powers up for Frankfurt’s Luminale festival with a euro-themed bat-signal
Holy central banking oversight, Batman! Has it come to this?
They've tried quantitative easing but as all good central bankers know, at times of real distress, you can only rely on a bat signal.
Presumably that's why the European Central Bank is planning to shine a euro-themed bat signal on the side of two of its buildings. Alternatively, it could be because it's taking part in Frankfurt's biennial light show Luminale.
Both the ECB’s main building by the river Main and the Eurotower in the city centre will be illuminated by a mix of flashing lights in yellow and blue, the colours of the European Union.
The euro symbol will be projected onto the south facade of the main building and will be visible to passenger planes on approach to land at Frankfurt airport.
And, of course, Batman.
