Lincoln International, the global mid-market investment bank, has announced that Tomas Freyman has joined the firm’s London office as a managing director specialising in valuations. Tomas will be part of the firm’s global valuations and opinions group and will work closely with Ron Kahn, who co-heads that group and is based in Chicago. Tomas joins from BDO LLP in London, where he was previously a partner in the valuations practice. He brings extensive valuations experience across a wide variety of industries but particular expertise in the energy, infrastructure and technology sectors. In his earlier career, Tomas was a member of the infrastructure advisory team at E&Y in London after spending seven years in the valuations team at PwC. Tomas graduated from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.
JLT Employee Benefits
JLT Employee Benefits, a pension and benefit consultancy, has appointed David Millar as head of client communications. David’s role will be to advise employers on the best practice to achieve this strategic approach to benefits communications. He joins from Aviva, following its acquisition of Friends Life, where he had worked since 2008, first as the manager of the pensions communications team and later as head of marketing communications for the corporate benefits business. Prior to that, he enjoyed spells at Mercer and Fidelity, having worked in pensions communications since 1998 and financial services since 1995.
The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys
The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) has elected Kate O’Rourke as its new president. Kate, who is a registered trade mark attorney and solicitor at law firm Charles Russell Speechlys, where she leads the trade mark and design registration and protection team, succeeds Chris McLeod, who completed his term of office.
Ameresco
Energy efficiency company Ameresco has appointed Britta MacIntosh as vice president of its UK operations. Britta is a qualified mechanical engineer and licensed professional engineer. She has more than 25 years of experience within the energy services sector. Prior to joining Ameresco UK, she was VP of business development at Noresco, responsible for a nationwide sales team focusing on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for the Federal Government. There, she provided testimony at a US House of Representatives hearing on energy security and innovation. Britta has sat on the board of directors at the National Association of Energy Services Companies.
