Sir Lynton Crosby: This is how people reacted to the knighthood
The election guru for Prime Minister David Cameron and Boris Johnson has today received his knighthood.
Sir Lynton Crosby has been knighted for his service to politics, and suffice to say most people aren't too impressed.
When it was announced in the New Years Honours list, shadow home secretary (who coincidentally announced interest in running for Manchester's mayor next time round) labelled the knighthood "outrageous".
And people don't seem anymore convinced now it's actually happened.
And then he cut his head off, yeah? #LyntonCrosby pic.twitter.com/K0yjqprtnh

Could the #Tories now please sack the vile Lynton Crosby so he can take his divisive racist politics out of our country.

That's not to say that that everyone is against it. Indeed, some observers defended the honour.
Seen some bonkers stuff in my time in politics. But the attacks on Lynton Crosby for a campaign he had zero responsibility for tops the lot.

If Zac loses, many will blame Lynton Crosby. But his allies insist to me he had absolutely no role in the campaign at all.

According to Associated Press, Crosby also dodged questions about Tory Zac Goldsmith's mayoral campaign as he received the knighthood from the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace.
