Lendinvest Capital
LendInvest Capital, the fund management and advisory division of LendInvest, has appointed Jesse Mosebye from Scotiabank to join its expanding team. Jesse spent five years in Scotiabank’s European capital introductions team building investor relationships for the prime brokerage team’s hedge fund and asset management clients. He will work closely with Carl Giannotta, associate director, to broaden the team’s investor relationships among larger institutions including hedge funds, funds of hedge funds and asset managers.
Winckworth Sherwood
Law firm Winckworth Sherwood has promoted Tim Snaith to the partnership, strengthening its private client team and taking the number of partners in the firm to 54. Tim specialises in trusts, estates and succession planning, including the huge variety of tax issues this area can create. He covers a broad UK and international client base, including individuals, trustees, beneficiaries and executors, as well as establishing grant-making philanthropic and charitable structures. Tim joined the firm as a trainee in 2008 and qualified into the private client team in 2010. Tim, who is 33, is the youngest partner in the firm.
eToro
Global social trading network eToro has appointed Robert Brown as its latest non-executive director in the UK. The new appointment to the board of directors further strengthens eToro’s ongoing expansion with London as a key strategic hub for the business. He will join founder and chief executive Yoni Assia; UK managing director of finance and operations, Paul Chrimes; chief operating officer Avi Sela; and fellow non-executive director Tony Wollenberg as directors of eToro UK. Robert brings over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, having worked as chief operating officer in global financial markets for ABN AMRO. Most recently, he served as head of global research and Investments at Barclays, and was a member of their wealth executive committee. Following his appointment, Brown will also continue in his current role as director of strategic initiatives at global law firm, Shearman & Sterling.
Barnett Waddingham
Barnett Waddingham, an independent provider of actuarial, administration and consultancy services, has appointed risk management specialist Marc Spurling to its business risk division. Before joining Barnett Waddingham, he was a senior vice president at insurance brokerage Marsh for eight years.
