Whistl
Whistl, the second largest postal company in the UK, has announced the completion of the management team for its packets and parcels offer with the appointment of Steve Vass as development director. He will continue the development of Whistl’s carrier management interface, its relationships with carriers and advising on the most appropriate solution and carrier interface for new current and potential clients. Steve has worked in the carrier industry for over 20 years, more recently spending six years with MetaPack. He was also product development director at Yodel.
WHITE & CASE
Global law firm White & Case LLP has underlined its strategic commitment to the oil & gas industry with the addition in London of Paul Griffin, who joins the Firm as counsel – senior adviser, oil & gas industry group. Griffin has spent his entire career advising clients in the oil & gas industry. He has been a partner at leading global law firms since 1988, most recently Allen & Overy, where his practice embraced domestic and international mergers & acquisitions and large scale commercial agreements, as well as disputes and matters of public law. Paul was previously a partner at Herbert Smith, where he led the oil, gas and LNG sector groups. He is also an honorary professor at the centre for energy, petroleum and mineral law and policy at the University of Dundee.
Epson UK
Printer tech specialist Epson has appointed Claire Robinson as head of business sales for the UK. Claire brings a mix of experience from across the entire IT channel, and assumes responsibility for driving sales growth. She will manage Epson’s visual instruments and business solutions sales teams across the SMB, retail, healthcare and education sectors, and enhance the company’s vertical sector targeting strategies. Claire will be tasked with implementing more intelligent business and end-user solutions. She joined Epson in 2010 as a corporate end-user sales manager, driving sales in the visual instrument sector.
Momentum Worldwide
Brand experience agency Momentum Worldwide has appointed Dean Taylor, formerly head of retention and customer insight at Virgin Active, to the newly created role of director of creative strategy. Dean will oversee Momentum Worldwide’s team of planners and digital strategists, and will be responsible for working with the agency’s global and UK clients such as American Express, Coca-Cola, Asda and Microsoft. In addition to this, he will manage the agency’s proprietary research programme and strategic development tools.
