714 new partners worldwide for Big Four firm EY, with a focus on emerging markets and women
Big Four firm EY announced today that it had promoted 714 to partner worldwide, with women and those from emerging markets accounting for a substantial chunk of the number.
Over a third (35 per cent) of the new partners came from emerging markets, while just less than three in 10 (29 per cent) were women.
The bulk of partner promotions this year came from the Americas, which is were 40 per cent of those promoted are based. Meanwhile, the most popular service line for promotions was assurance, which is where 37 per cent of the new partners came from.

"Despite an uncertain economy, we are still investing and these promotions are a tribute to the contributions these new partners have made to EY and our future," said Mark Weinberger, EY global chairman and chief executive. "I'm proud of all that we've achieved together as an organisation over the past year, and I am particularly proud of all our new partners."
