UBS
UBS has appointed Chris Gibson-Smith vice chairman of corporate client solutions, EMEA.Chris brings to UBS more than 40 years' experience across a wide range of sectors including oil, aviation and banking. He has nearly 30 years’ cumulative FTSE 100 main board experience, 20 of which in the role of chairman. Most notably, Chris was chairman of the London Stock Exchange Group from 2003 to 2015, and chairman of British Land from 2007 until 2012. Chris was awarded a CBE in 2011 for his services to the financial industry.
ING Wholesale Bank
ING Wholesale Bank has appointed Gregory Arkus as head of financial institutions for the UK region. Based in London, he will be responsible for leading all client coverage activities out of the UK. Greg has significant experience in the sector and was most recently the head of rates capital markets and syndicate at Credit Suisse in London. Prior to that, he spent four years as the head of UK and Irish financial institutions DCM for Credit Suisse where he managed transactions for the bank’s most significant clients in the sector. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2000, Greg spent five years with Nomura as vice president for North American and Nordic Debt Capital Markets.
Old Mutual Wealth
Old Mutual Wealth, one of the UK’s largest wealth management businesses, has appointed Iain Wright as chief risk officer. Iain will be responsible for the governance and oversight of strategic, operational and financial risks to the Old Mutual Wealth businesses. Iain joins from Sun Life Financial where he was senior vice president, enterprise and operational risk, having previously been chief risk officer at Prudential UK & Europe. He began his career as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, and later moved to the London Stock Exchange where he carried out a number of roles, including head of equity and debt markets.
Domino's Pizza Group
Domino’s Pizza Group has appointed Rachel Osborne as an executive director and the chief financial officer of the company. Rachel is a chartered accountant and is currently the finance director – group commercial and enterprise for Vodafone, prior to which she was finance and strategy director of the John Lewis’ retail business. Rachel also serves as a non-executive director of HM Courts and Tribunals Service, an executive agency sponsored by the Ministry of Justice. She’s also held senior financial roles at companies including Sodexo, Kingfisher/B&Q and PepsiCo among others.
