Alpha FMC
Alpha, the asset management consultancy, has appointed Adrian Keen as chief financial officer. Adrian will work with the senior team to oversee all financial operations of the group. Adrian brings broad experience with him to Alpha. A chartered accountant, Adrian worked in the audit function at KPMG before pursuing roles in industry, in sectors as diverse as software, nano-technology, renewable energy and education. Adrian recently served as CFO of Anesco, an energy services company located in Berkshire. During that time, Adrian oversaw revenue growth from £21m to £200m and similarly impressive growth in EBITDA.
Ramboll
Ramboll has appointed Mathew Riley as UK managing director. Mathew joins from Arcadis where he was managing director for the infrastructure, industry and utility sectors across the UK, Middle East and Asia. He worked at Arcadis for nearly seven years, having previously worked with Laing O’Rourke and spent over 16 years at BAA. Having worked in property and infrastructure for over 27 years, Mathew is an industry expert in devising, implementing and managing the delivery of strategies and programmes to gain maximum shareholder and stakeholder value. In recent years he has advised clients on a number of capital investment programmes, including Thames Water, Heathrow Airport, National Grid and London Underground.
Hymans Robertson
Hymans Robertson has made two senior appointments to its life and financial services team. John McKenzie, who was a consulting actuary and principal in Milliman’s UK Life practice, joins as head of insurance transfers and reporting. He has extensive consulting experience, has provided strategic advice across a number of corporate reorganisations, and is an expert on insurance business reorganisations and Part VII transfers. Theresa Chew joins the firm as head of transactions and structuring. In her previous consulting roles at EY, Tillinghast Towers Perrin and Deloitte, she advised on some of the largest and highest-profile M&As, IPOs and corporate restructures in the UK life insurance industry. Theresa’s role at Hymans Robertson will focus on growing its M&A advisory and transaction structuring capabilities.
Proskauer
International law firm Proskauer has appointed Ben Davis as partner in the firm’s finance practice in London. Ben's primary expertise is within the leveraged finance market where he regularly advises on acquisition and leveraged finance facilities, corporate facilities and debt restructurings. Focusing on both the mid-market and upper market, Ben has clients including alternative lenders, private equity sponsors, and other financial entities. He has broad experience advising on unitranche loans, mezzanine and high-yield bonds, as well as real estate finance and litigation funding.
