Edison
Edison, an investor relations and investment research company, has hired Elliott Berstock to the role of account manager in the investor relations team. Elliott brings to Edison more than 10 years’ capital markets experience in the investment industry, joining from Capital Access Group, where he held the positions of associate director of investor relations and joint head of corporate access. Prior to this, Elliott was an accountant, having started his financial career as a trainee at Grant Thornton. Throughout his career, Elliott has had considerable experience of promoting companies to a wide pool of investors in the UK and Europe, he has advised on IR related issues and has successfully diversified and improved the quality of many shareholder registers. Elliott has also been directly involved in primary and secondary fundraisings.
Vast Resources
Vast Resources, the AIM listed mining company with operations in Romania and Zimbabwe, has appointed Brian Moritz as a non-executive director of the company. Brian is a chartered accountant and former senior partner of Grant Thornton and formed the firm's capital markets team which floated over 100 companies on AIM under his chairmanship. In December 2004, he retired from Grant Thornton to concentrate on bringing new companies to the market. He specialises in natural resources companies, primarily in Africa, and was formerly chairman of Metal Bulletin, African Platinum and Chromex Mining plc as well as currently being chairman of several junior mining companies.
Knight Frank
Knight Frank has recruited Anthony Duggan as a partner within its research department to lead the company’s capital markets research offering. Anthony will be responsible for delivering market leading research to support Knight Frank’s capital markets business on a global level. Anthony joins from Deloitte where he spent six years as a partner within their corporate finance team, he brings with him significant experience of commercial property industry and will continue to elevate Knight Frank’s already strong commercial research offering.
Old Mutual Wealth
Old Mutual Wealth has appointed David Barral as independent customer champion, supporting the customer outcomes forum. David was previously chief executive of Aviva UK Life, the largest business unit within the Aviva Plc Group, where he led significant financial, people and customer transformation across the business during his five year tenure. Prior to that he has held various roles including distribution director, marketing director and chief operating officer over a 37-year career in financial services. He is currently a non-executive director at LV=, chairman of Vantage Finance and chairman of Virgin Wines. As independent customer champion, David will play a key role in helping promote customer-centric behaviours across Old Mutual Wealth, including the UK Platform, Intrinsic, Quilter Cheviot, Old Mutual Global Investors and Old Mutual International.
