Northgate said:
Whilst the conviction relates to Mr Gallagher’s personal life, solely as a result of this conviction, the board considers Mr Gallagher’s position is untenable.
David Tilston has been appointed as interim chief finance officer, having previously served as the interim group finance chief at Consort Medical, and group finance director of Innovia.
Gallagher was appointed as group finance director on 22 February last year, having been chief financial officer at Spirit Pub Company until its acquisition by Greene King in June 2015.
He also held senior roles at The Rank Group, Quadriga Worldwide and Dell, and is a chartered accountant.
