New York and Geneva among 10 most expensive cities in the world for business travel
London is no longer one of the top 10 most expensive cities for business travel in the world, according to research released today.
Geneva topped the board in Europe for the fourth year in a row, with the total cost of a standard business trip to the Swiss city coming in at £554 a day.
In London, the figure was £448 per day, still enough to make the city the sixth most expensive to travel to in Europe.
New York was the most expensive place for business travel in the world.

In the rankings compiled by ECA International, UK cities all dropped down the table, as Aberdeen fell from 13th to 39th in the European rankings in just two years.
“Swiss cities once again dominate the most expensive places for business trips in Europe, with five different locations in the top 10,” said Simon Franklin of ECA International. “Switzerland has always been an expensive nation for business travel, and this year is no different as the Swiss franc has performed very strongly.”
“While the price of business travel to London has remained relatively static over the past few years, the strong performance of the euro in the past year has seen costs in other cities such as Paris and Monaco overtake the UK capital,” Franklin added.
