International Beer Day: How to get a free beer in London | City A.M.
It’s International Beer Day, and just in time for Friday we’ve tracked down the deals you need to know to celebrate in style.
Pints on the house
There are few things in life better than a free beer, and thanks to Old Blue Last you can end the week on a high with just that.
All you need to do is download a voucher from the website, print it and bring it to the bar at either The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch or the Sebright Arms in Hackney between 6pm and 8pm today.
Old Blue Last Beer was launched in the UK last year as a collaboration between drinks giant AB InBev and Vice Media. It’s aimed specifically at 18-30 year olds, reflecting Vice’s predominantly millennial audience.
Discounts for beer-lovers
Elsewhere in London, Temple Brew House is offering a 20 per cent discount on selected international craft cans all day today.
The Roast restaurant, in Borough Market, is also getting into the spirit of International Beer Day and has created a special beer pairing menu. Included are favourites such as pork belly, as well as new dishes, all paired with a locally-brewed beer.
If you’re over in Clerkenwell, get down to Coin Laundry, which is offering the first 200 pints of the day for just 14p. It’s a wistful reference to the price of a pint in 1973, back when the UK first joined the EU.
Classic American steak house Smith and Wollensky is offering diners 50 per cent off bottled and draft beers today.
Out west, Richmond Vault is offering two for one on all beers until 6pm.
And in the East, Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse in Westfield Stratford also has two for one beers all day.

Still want more beer?
Well you’re in luck. This weekend brings the London Craft Beer Festival to the Tobacco Dock in Wapping. The event starts today and lasts all weekend.
Although there’s no freebies, an all-in ticket for £46.50 will give a you a glass and free rein to try as many beers (and ciders, gin, whisky, wine… you get the idea) as you like.
