Emerald Isle: Ireland opens up to double-jabbed British travellers
Tourism Ireland has confirmed that double-jabbed British travellers will be able to travel to the Emerald Isle without needing to quarantine.
Brits returning home along with Irish visitors will also not have to self-isolate upon arrival.
The changes will come in from Monday July 19, coinciding with so-called ‘Freedom Day’ in the UK.

The two countries have been divided by more than the Irish Sea for many months after lockdown travel restrictions were imposed.
EU countries have already OKed travel between each other for citizens that are double-jabbed, a privilege yet to be extended by all European countries to the UK.
However some countries particularly reliant on tourism have opened the door to Brits, relying only on PCR testing to keep any variants the other side of the border.
This morning reports emerged that France, currently on the UK’s amber list, could be set for a shift to the mandatory hotel quarantine ‘red’ list as a result of growing South African cases.
