It’s been 55 long years since fans last saw England in a major football final, making the Euro 2020 final breakthrough even more exciting.
As fans plan to stream into pubs and line the streets on Sunday for this momentous occasion, finance advisory Loan Bird told City A.M. which English cities are likely to spend the most, and the least, when watching the Euros final.
Taking into account the average price of a pint in each city, the cost of a chip shop meal and the cost of local transport to get fans into the city centre, these are the best UK cities to watch the Euros final and not spend a fortune.

In the top spot for the most affordable city to watch the Euros final is Peterborough. With the price of a pint coming in at just £3.41 and chip shop scran in at just £2 the total cost of an average Euros night out is just £15.73 for Peterborough fans – a full two pounds better than second-place Preston.
All of the top ten cheapest locations, including Birmingham, Leicester and Sheffield came in with a total cost of under £20 to enjoy the Euros final, with the calculations taking into account the cost of three pints per person.
Plus, most of the cheapest cities lie in the Northern half of the UK, while Southerners could be expected to pay over a fiver per pint.
Most expensive places to watch
For fans crowding around Wembley and across the capital, they should expect to pay the most for the Euros final celebrations with the cost of three pints, food and transport coming in at £24.79.
