Train delays: TfL Rail hit with severe delays between Shenfield and Liverpool Street
Severe delays hit TfL Rail this morning, causing commuters pain just a day after problems at a major London station led to rush hour chaos.
Transport for London advised commuters to take an alternative route this morning if possible after a signal failure at Stratford led to severe delays between Shenfield and Liverpool Street.
Commuters heading to London yesterday were told not to travel by South Western Railway, following overrunning engineering works from Network Rail.
No trains were able to run between Surbiton and Waterloo, closing stations at Working, Surbiton, Raynes Park and Earlsfield, while no trains could depart Wimbledon or Clapham Junction.
South Western only advised services were back up and running this morning.
✅*CLEARED 20/11* Disruption caused by overrunning Network Rail engineering works between London Waterloo and Surbiton has now ended. Services are no longer affected by this problem.
