Legal & General
Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has announced the appointment of Margaret Ammon as chief risk officer. Currently chief risk officer for the asset management branch of M&G, Margaret will join LGIM in February 2020 and be responsible for the oversight and development of LGIM’s risk functions globally. Prior to joining M&G in London, Margaret was chief risk officer for Colonial First State Global Asset Management from 2015 to 2017, after serving as head of risk at Schroders from 2011 to 2015.
Michelle Scrimgeour, chief executive at LGIM said: “Margaret brings more than 20 years’ experience in risk management, having held senior roles at a number of high profile asset management companies. Her proven track record in building global risk oversight models, coupled with a strong understanding of practical application within differing asset classes and markets, will be an invaluable addition to our business.”
SnapLogic
Intelligence integration platform SnapLogic have announced the appointment of Craig Stewart as its chief technology officer (CTO). Craig, who has been with the company since 2011, steps into the role after having held senior positions across the company both in the US and the UK. As CTO, Craig will drive the company’s technology strategy and product roadmap. He will also ensure alignment with customer requirements and future market developments. Gaurav Dhillon, chief executive at SnapLogic commented: “Craig has long been an invaluable member of the SnapLogic team, helping to deliver on our vision of making it faster and easier for organisations to connect, manage, and take action on their data. Elevating him to CTO was a clear next step given the extensive knowledge and experience he brings to the team, from leading our product strategy to engaging with our top customers, and much more.”
Angling Direct
Angling Direct, the UK’s largest and fastest growing fishing tackle and equipment retailer, has appointed Steven Crowe as the its new chief financial officer with effect from 2 January 2020. Steven has extensive experience in the finance sector, having started his career at PwC, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. Following this, Steven moved to Aviva where he worked as director of finance for 10 years . More recently, he served as finance director for Marvel Newco and Validus. Angling Direct’s chief executive officer Darren Bailey commented: “Steve brings a wealth of financial experience. We look forward to working with him as we continue to deliver our multi-channel growth strategy.”
