We need to find ruthless streak, insists Borthwick
CAPTAIN Steve Borthwick says England must rediscover their ruthless side if they are to challenge the southern hemisphere big guns in the coming weeks.
Martin Johnson’s men put in a toothless display in going down 18-9 to Australia on Saturday and now must pick themselves up for the visits of Argentina and New Zealand.
“We put ourselves in a position to go and win this game, and we didn’t,” Borthwick said. “We are tremendously disappointed by that. “We need to make sure we get ourselves in that position again next week and push on.
“We looked tremendously dangerous with the some of the opportunities we made but we didn’t take them. We can look at what Australia did very closely and learn from them.”
