Interserve gives a bullish outlook and builds hopes for future contract wins
Building and maintenance group Interserve said yesterday that trading had been in-line with expectations since the end of June and that it had been included in a scheme that will allow it to bid for £4m-worth of new contracts.
The group said that in the first half it had benefited from a “strong performance” in its Middle East construction and equipment services business, as well as ongoing stability in the UK utilities and public sectors.
The group said it had continued to win significant new contracts in both the private and the public sectors both at home and abroad, helping to maintain its future workload at a record £6.7bn.
Separately, Interserve said that it has been included in the new Partnerships for Schools National Contractor Framework, which will allow it to bid for design and building contacts worth £4bn. Bidding will begin this month.
