FSA hires grandees to help vet banking appointments
THE FSA has appointed Nomura chairman Colin Marshall as chairman of its five-strong panel on corporate governance.
Marshall joined Nomura as chairman in 2004 and is a senior City figure.
The FSA has also appointed Sir David Scholey as one of its new team. He is also an adviser to UBS and a former member of the court of the Bank of England.
Sir Brian Pitman – senior independent director of Carphone Warehouse since 2001 – is also included in the line-up. The team is completed by Baroness Hogg and Sir Dominic Cadbury. Baroness Hogg is non-executive chairman of 3i Group.
