AIG makes senior appointments
American International Group (AIG), the US insurer, made several senior appointments, naming a new head of human resources and a new chief administrative officer, it emerged yesterday. Jeff Hurd, a senior employee at the giant insurer and its current chief administrative officer, will become head of human resources, according to a leaked memo from AIG chief executive Robert Benmosche. While Michael Cowan, a longtime employee at Merrill Lynch, is joining AIG as chief administrative officer. Cowan had been at Merrill since 1986 and was most recently senior vice president of global corporate services at the Wall Street firm.
