Cazenove Capital
The asset management firm has appointed Louis Greening as a desk-based UK advisory sales consultant.
Greening joins from Skandia, where he has worked in the London-based sales team for the past two years. Prior to that, he was at Friends Provident.
In his new role, he will be responsible for building new relationships in the investment funds business.
Reyl Asset Management
The fund management arm of Reyl & Cie, which managed 2.5bn Swiss francs on behalf of institutions and private clients, has appointed Raphael Kassin as head of emerging market debt.
Kassin joins from Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was head of emerging markets fixed income and managed the Credit Suisse Emerging Markets Bond Fund from 2007. Prior to that, he spent nine years managing the ABN Amro Global Emerging Markets Bond Fund.
Kassin’s funds have won several industry awards for delivering performance consistently above the benchmark indices for his funds.
Barings
Colin Ng is to join the investment management firm as head of Asian equities, based in Hong Kong.
Ng joins from MFC Global Investment Management, where he was head of Asia Pacific equities. He also previously held the role of head of Asia ex-Japan at UOB Asset Management.
Barings head of equities Tim Scholefield said the firm continues to further its strength in the Asian market, with over $11bn of Asian ex-Japan equities under management.
Shepherd and Wedderburn
The law firm has appointed Michael Scott as a partner in its property practice.
Scott, who qualified in 1996, moves over from rival SJ Berwin, where he has been a partner since 2006.
In his new role, he will focus on the firm’s City clients including the London Development Agency, Investec and CNC Investments.
Gresham
The mid-market private equity firm has hired Mark Blower as a partner in its investment team, based in Manchester.
Blower joins from Lloyds Acquisition Finance, where he worked for the past five years as head of the north west office. He has also previously been head of NM Rothschild’s Leeds team.
Paul Hastings
Ross McNaughton is to join the law firm as a senior associate.
McNaughton, who was previously at rival Herbert Smith, is a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance and securities law and has wide experience of advising listed and non-listed UK and international corporate and institutional clients.
