Collins Stewart
The investment banking group’s wealth management division has hired Richard Christmas to its new corporate executive and employee trading (CEET) desk.
He joins from Credit Suisse, where he worked with Michael Smith, now head of the CEET desk for Collins Stewart, which provides broker services to listed firms, their employees and third-party share plan administrators.
Hermes
The fund management group has appointed Tom Rotherham as an associate director for private equity in its equity ownership services division.
Rotherham was previously at Radley Yeldar, where as head of corporate responsibility he led the UN-backed Principle for Responsible Investment’s work on private equity.
Prior to that, he worked as a research partner for the Institute Europeen d’Administration (INSEAD).
JM Finn
Gill Leates and Tony Manning have been appointed to the investment management firm as senior investment managers in London.
Leates has over 25 years of experience in the City and previously spent nearly nine years as an investment director on the board of growth investment trust Majedie Investments. She also previously worked at Courtaulds and Schroders.
Manning joins from Barclays, where he was most recently a senior adviser at Barclays Wealth.
Jones Day
The law firm has appointed two London associates to its partnership – Nick Cotter, who works in international litigation and arbitration, and Barnaby Stueck from its trial practice team.
Synergy
The support services provider to health-related markets has appointed Gavin Hill as its new finance director, effective from April.
Hill is currently corporate finance director at support services group Serco, where he has worked since 2002. Prior to that, he held a variety of finance and corporate treasury roles at AstraZeneca and Syngenta.
Société Générale
SocGen’s corporate and investment banking arm has appointed Professor Doctor Kurt J. Lauk as chairman of its advisory board in Germany, advising the bank’s senior management particularly on its strategy in the country.
Lauk is currently chairman of the economic council to chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Party (CDU).
Winckworth Sherwood
The law firm has hired Jo Keddie as a partner in its employment team, effective from April. Keddie joins from Dawsons, where she has spent her 21 year career to date.
